Hello There!
One of the most painful things in life is feeling as though the ones who are "suppose" to be the closest to you, don’t know, understand, love, or support you. Maybe you have already tried to change things on your own, or maybe you see no point in trying at all because you can already predict what’s going to happen. But now, you've had enough and don't want to keep going through the same thing again and again. Maybe, just maybe, now is the time to reach out for support. Because why not? When is it ever going to be the “best” or the “perfect” time?
But hey, I get it! Really, I do! It probably took a lot of courage and internal questioning before you even arrived here at my website. No matter what brought you here and how you're feeling about seeking therapy, let me just say this:

(No really, I'm serious!)
I'm Michelle!

Some quick and personal facts about me:
Now, I am happy and proud to be a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who provides therapy and counseling services to children, teens, young adults, and parents in the San Gabriel Valley (including but not limited to Arcadia, Temple City, East San Gabriel, San Marino, Monrovia, Sierra Madre, El Monte, Duarte, East Pasadena) in Southern California. My goal is, and has always been, to support and empower others, especially when they are confused, hurting, and/or in need.
I am devoted to helping minors and young adults, whether it is addressing current or past relationship issues with loved ones that continue to negatively impact them in the present. At these critical periods of trying to find themselves and develop into who they envision themselves to be, it is pertinent to their growth and well-being that any unresolved issues be addressed now! This will allow them the opportunity to grow and blossom to become the best version of them that they can be in the present and in the future.
From a child who is acting out in school to a teen who is having difficulty connecting with peers, from a young adult who is exploring different paths in life to parents who need help with their children...

How I Work
I help my clients take a deeper look into the core of what is impacting them, collaborating with them to explore what they would like to change or maintain in their lives, and working with them to help them gain the tools that they need to work through past and/or current issues that are negatively impacting them. I meet my clients where they're at emotionally and provide them with support and empathy, while also adequately challenging them to see any areas in which they may be able to modify to improve their relationships and their lives.
While you embark on this personal journey, I will accompany you. At various times, I will walk beside you (so you know you’re not alone on your journey), in front of you (so I can shine a flashlight on the possibilities of unexplored roads), and/or behind you (so that you can have the freedom to explore and pave your own road when you’re ready and able to do so). I will be there through the tears, the confusion, and the laughter. And yes, there will be laughter.
I strongly believe that with the right therapist and the right treatment, a motivated client will be able to see changes in his/her/their life over time.
