Oh to be a "young adult"... What does that even mean?! Some may classify a "young adult" as being between the ages of 18 to mid-20s, while others may categorize someone as being a "young adult" if they're between 18 to 35 years old! Whether you're 18, 27, or 35, you're in a stage of life where you're creating a road and path for yourself. Ideally, you would be given the space and time to figure out who it is that you want to be and be able to define yourself as you choose.
No matter what or how many things you checked off in the list above, it is all okay. You are paving, or following, a path so that you can determine whether or not it works for you. Truly, the possibilities when you're a young adult can seem limitless, and often times, overwhelming! But that's all part of the beauty (and chaos) of being a young adult! So just sit back, take a deep breath, and know that a lot of it is "normal."
No road comes without bumps and challenges along the way. Whether you face pressure from parents/family members to pursue a career path not of your choosing, or you are straddled with financial uncertainty, it is during these crucial times that you may be making decisions that will significantly impact your future. How you choose to handle certain tasks and work through unforeseen challenges will define who you are, not only to those around you, but to yourself!
Whether you're a young adult, or you're the parent of a young adult who is in need of support, you've come to the right place! During a time of trying to figure out who you are and who you want to be, it is essential that you get support while learning the tools and coping skills to work through past and/or current challenges and issues. Not only will this impact your emotional and physical growth and well-being, it will also allow you to blossom into becoming the best version of who you can be and want to be!
I will help you examine what is impacting you, explore changes and possibilities that you may never have thought possible, and feel empowered so that you have the strength to work through issues that are negatively impacting you.
